Last week was my Uni spring break, i'm still finding it hard to recover from the week long of leisure. The week passed by with catching up on friends and family, doing some assignments and also, i managed to attend some shows at the wills lifestyle india fashion week aw2013. I have to confess, i wasn't a very eager attendee of the past fashion shows. The difference this time was the resolve to follow my interest in constant, and to learn more about the current trends and designers. The most exciting part for me of attending fashion shows is the parade of street style in and outside the venue. I absolutely believe that ones personal style reveals a lot about their individuality, creativeness and confidence, and the streets are the most traditional platform for such displays. Street style continues to inspire me as it is so actual and fashion forward. Not everyone has access to fashion shows and events, which is why i feel personal style seen on the streets and how a person "dresses up" is a better showcase of their personality. I wish i could've taken pictures on street style during the fashion week, i did manage to get some shots of myself and a friend until my camera just refused me.
While at the fashion week this time, i had decided to stay back after the shows and check out the stalls for a closer look. In between gazing and admiring the number of stalls at the WIFW, a particular stall caught my eyes. The exact thing that grabbed my attention were these jumpsuits hanging in absolute simplicity and perfection. I had to go in the stall and check out the entire collection, after which i immediately declared love at first sight. I had the good fortune of meeting the designer, Shweta kapur the next time i went back and took pictures of her collection. Themed on surgery , the designs were incorporated with procedures of surgery and the instruments that went into the details and form of the garments. Minimalist designs and sober colors set the collection. From my interaction with the designer, what i learnt and what made the garments even more remarkable is the amount of research and commitment that went into making the brilliant collection. I have posted pictures of the garments i particularly loved, hope u like them equally. Until next time. :)
